About the event

Join Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra for First Friday at the Barnes!


Led by founder and artistic director Jeri Lynne Johnson and guest conductor Jaman Dunn-Danger, the evening’s program features:


  • An original solo cello work composed and performed by Ajibola Rivers

  • Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis (with guest conductor Jaman Dunn-Danger)

  • Julia Perry’s Stabat Mater featuring mezzo-soprano Zoie Reams


A panel discussion and audience Q and A with the artists will take place between performances. First Friday admission includes access to the Barnes collection. Seating is limited. Cocktails and light fare will be available for purchase. Tickets:
